PERIOD CROSSBOWS

Started in 1995 as a hobby, it soon became an obsession. I thrive on the challenge to produce a variety of authentic crossbows, based on extensive research. The bows are made in as authentic a way as possible, using spring steel, which first appeared on crossbows about 1330.

Using hand tools and a specially developed forge of my own design, I produce crossbows of a very high quality. because of this, I am in demand for living history displays & lectures. I have produced crossbows for museums (Barcelona), private collectors (Hungary, the USA, England & Swizerland), Shakespeare's Globe theatre, as well as most re-enactment groups in the United Kingdom and many in Europe.

The bows are grouped in the various types below. Since all the bows are hand made, each individual one is different. It is possible to have one custom made to your specific requirements. Just give me the details.
